Most web-projects are created to generate profit. For this purpose, the site must be indexed by search engines and occupy the first positions in the search results of Yandex and Google. Only websites with useful, informative, popular, reliable and unique content have a chance to reach such peaks.
A few percent (up to 15%) overlap of text with other sources is not critical. But if the material published on the page completely or by more than 85% duplicates an article from another resource that has already been indexed, then copypasta - deliberate theft of textual content with copyright infringement - is in evidence.
Search robots, detecting plagiarism, automatically exclude this page from their databases (in the absence of an active link to the author's material), and if there are many such pages, the entire resource. This leads to the fact that several sections or the entire site fall under filters, are not shown in the search results, and users searching for queries do not see them.
Thus, all the previously done work: the design of the project, the
purchase of external links,
promotion in social networks, will actually be in vain. Therefore, it is unlikely that saving on unique articles is worth putting a fat cross on your business project.
